PhotoPro Control Panels Manual
PhotoPro Control Panels provide quick access to the key menus and controls for your photo system. There are three options: a floor stand, a floating panel, and the HUD 2.
The floor stand is designed to be rezzed inworld in a relatively fixed or permanent location. The float is also rezzed inworld, but the versatile design allows you to move it to wherever you need while shooting. The HUD 2 attaches to a hud slot on your avatar and can be used as an alternate to the full HUD provided with your system.
Please note that this is not a stand-alone device. The PhotoPro Add-Ons work in tandem with PhotoLite, PhotoStage, and Photospin.
Each PhotoPro Add-On is specific to the system to which it corresponds. For example, a PhotoLite Pro Add-On will only work with PhotoLite, and cannot be used with a PhotoStage system. Please make sure you purchase the correct PhotoPro Add-On for your system. Since PhotoPro Add-Ons are sold as no-transfer items, it is not possible to provide refunds.
Set Up
- The PhotoPro Control Panels come packaged in a box. Rez the box inworld, right-click it, select Open, and copy the contents to your inventory.
- Locate the Photo** Pro Control Panel folder in your inventory. Inside you will find three objects labelled Stand, Float and HUD 2.
- To use the stand and float: simply rez these items inworld and position according to your preferences. Note that the stand and float need to be within 50 meters of the control box/sphere.
- To use the HUD 2: right-click the HUD 2 in your inventory and select Wear. The HUD 2 will attach to the top left HUD slot on your avatar by default. If you want to change this, right-click the HUD in your inventory and select Attach to HUD (rather than Wear) and then select your desired HUD slot.
- If you want to change the position of the HUD on your screen: right-click any solid area of the HUD and select Edit. Use the green and blue arrows to move the HUD to your preferred spot on the screen. If you can’t see the HUD, right-click any other HUD you may be using, select Edit, and rotate the mouse wheel towards you to display off-screen objects.

Settings
PhotoPro Add-Ons link to the control box/sphere of your PhotoLite, PhotoSpin or PhotoStage system, and operate in accordance with the settings established for the main, or parent system. Hence, if you have set the Users Allowed to Owner on your parent system, then the PhotoPro Add-On will also respond only to you, the Owner. (See Settings in the User’s Manual of your system for more information on changing Users Allowed settings.)
If you change the channel number on your parent system, you will also need to change it on the PhotoPro Add-On. Here’s how to do so:
- Edit the PhotoPro Control Panels (right-click the unit, and select Edit). (Note: you will need to rez the HUD inworld to edit it.)
- Select the Contents tab.
- Right-click the Channel note card, select Rename.
- After the = sign, type in the same channel number as the parent system.
- Press enter to save the new setting.
- Wait a few seconds for the setting to take effect, and then close the Edit window. Your PhotoPro Control Panel will now communicate on the same channel as your parent system.
- Repeat this operation for the stand, float and HUD 2 if you want all three units to communicate on the same channel.
